Hi Cads,
I have the 16. The 24 is identical just 8" wider. It is by far the best designed, best built, easiest to use. It is built like a battleship, I think the damn thing weighs something like 45lbs. It is made in Canada. I had the Leigh 24 back 5 years ago and sold it, to difficult to understand and adjust for me...and most.
You won't go wrong with the Akeda.
Approximately 3 months ago I did purchase the 16" Akeda dovetail jig. It is extremely well built and much easier to use than Leigh.I have the first original Leigh and a subsequent 24" model. I did not use it everyday therefore everytime I needed to use it I had to re-read the manual and view the video. With the Akeda, set-up could not be simpler, the sawdust is collected at the source and because of the easy of use I utilize it more frequently than the Leigh.
Have a happy New Year
