Can anyone recommend a good book or video on the Allendorf sliding table saw? Thank you. Philip Brutz |

When you get into the indusrtial line you are not going to find much info like you would for the hobby saws. The manual from the factory is pretty much as good as you get. Most information gets handed down from previous operator to next user or you fend for yourself with help from the tech staff from the manufacturer or dealer. Typically you get beyond their expertise fast. Your only other alternative is to hook up with a Felder user group. I base my opinion on 30 plus years in the industry having been a wood machinist setting up, running and maintaining such machines as edge banders, construction boring machines, stroke sanders, widebelt sander, mortisers, shapers, etc. There are very few if any on most of such machines. There's only 3 or 4 books in general on shapers alone never mind the other machines I mentioned. By the way it's Altendorf. You might get a bit more info on a pro site called http://www.wwodweb.com bit there is only so much info that can be gotten over the web versus real hands on users.
As an Alt. F45 owner and user I'd second that.
