Anyone have any experience with tools shipping from Amazon.com? Ordered a Powermatic 66 on the 17th (item usually ships in 24 hours) that has not shipped yet. I was hoping to take delivery early in the estimated shipping window. Don’t think thats going to happen now. Hope to recieve it at least within the window. I have jobs I need to do! Shops all set, ready to go!

I've always got prompt results or well documented delays from them. Don't recall them not shipping within the original window. But then again I've odered mostly small stuff, biggest thing was a snow blower that showed up on schedule. They probably were best with books. Now they have a scheme to try to get to join up for 2-day shipping on everything so maybe other orders will suffer.

I received a Delta Band saw two years ago, right on schedule. My only beef was that the shipper just left it in the middle of my driveway (while I was away).
However, I suppose, few people are going to run off with two ~150lb boxes :-)

I ordered a 54a jointer and received it right on time.My buddy ordered a 66 and came right on time also.Good luck
My 66 came on the last day of the estimated delivery window. It came damaged! Now I have to wait another week for delivery of a new one! Couldn't talk to anyone from Tool Crib, had to e-mail all corispondence to Amazon. Took 2 days to just get an answer from Amazon! I really dislike being not being able to talk to someone. Never again on an item this important or this big. If I were to calculate down time, assembly time of the bad unit. My $300 savings is GONEEEEEEEEE! If I could have found a local dealer that was good I would have bought from them. Next time I will search for a good dealer.
hey Jay. i recieved my 66 and the model 209 planer from tool crib/amazon 2 months ago. no damage whatsoever, and amazon even refunded the sixty buck difference between the print catalog and website price on the planer, i barely had to ask. the saw did have one problem, the guide tube for the fence was out of square, so i called powermatic and they had a new (and square) one to me in about 3 days. 4 and 15/16 stars.
