When I cut out my patterns for eliptical moldings, I always end up with a section of the molding that is more narrow than the rest of the molding. I use a piece of MDF with the X,Y axis dadoed into it with a two point tramel with a ro9uter mounted in it.

Are the X,Y axes actually perpendicular to one another? Can you describe your problem in more detail for us. I think it would help. Sliante, RJ.
