Greetings Everyone,
I have been trolling this board for a couple months now and thought that I might post and introduce myself. My name is Chris and I live in Colorado Springs, CO(anyone else?). I have been making sawdust for about eight months now and am finally hitting a spot where what I read is translating into some decent results. I have to thank many of the regular posters and new folks as well for some very timely posts that have helped a ton. All of the tool reviews have also been an enormous help. This is because without any woodworking experience and really no idea of what i wanted to make or if this was something i really wanted to do I went to HD and bought every piece of equipment that Ryobi builds. Now that i know the limitations of what $87 dollar machines can do I am slowly upgrading as budget allows. I will say that with such poor tolerances overall, I’ve learned to adjust and have actually made some pretty neat stuff. I definitely feel that magic of shaping wood into a planned end result. Well instead of rambling any further which I am prone to do I will just say thanks for all the great reading!
Chris

Welcome, Chris, glad you came "out of the woodwork" so-to-speak!! I guess all that experience with Ryobi tools will enable you to appreciate the good stuff when you get it, eh? Be brave, and post some pics in the gallery!
