hello!….. I’m finally gunna break down and buy a new band saw for general purpose use. The finalists are…the Laguna LT16 or the Jet 18″. I’d sure appreciate any advice or opinions anyone has about which of these machines should be in my shop. Or maybe I should forget about them both and buy my wife a new sewing machine??!!……cheers, mark

I currently own the Jet. It has been a great saw but I will be upgrading to a MiniMax 28". Have you given a look at the MiniMax saw's?. After alot of research I found them to be held in high regard from alot of woodworkers. But if your set between the Laguna and the Jet I would say go for the Laguna it looks to be a heavier built saw.

I just bought a MM16 and am very happy with it.
Heavy duty, 13" resaw, 3.6 hp.The proof is in the puddin'
I am happy to hear you like your saw. It was a tough decision between the MiniMax and Agazzani. The MiniMax looks to be better built and has some better features. I feel I made the right decision.
