I’m having a real problem trying to find the angles to cut to complete trimming odd angles (not 90) like if I take a protracter and measure the angle and it is 105 degrees split that and I need 2 peices that are 52.5 degrees but how do I translate the to my mitre box it only will cut to 50 degrees is there a gadget out there to figure this out? please help me
Thanks Gary

Gary,
Take a bevel guage, set it to 52.5*, and scribe a cut line on your workpiece. Set your saw to 50* (or 45* or anything convenient), then put a shim between your workpiece and the fence, so your workpiece touches only the point of the fence next to the blade and the shim. You have to adjust the shim along the fence until the blade lines up with the cut. For a safe cut, place the shim along the fence as far from the blade as is practical. GP.
*GP's way works, but I didn't find I could hold the board steady enough throughout the entire cut on large pieces. So I took a 4x4, 16" long, squared it on the jointer, and clamped it to the fence of the mitresaw on the left side. Then set the saw to 45% left, cut and discard the piece that is cut away. Now if you want 52.5*, place the board against the slant of the 4x4, dial in 7.5* left and cut.
*Maybe I need to clarify what I have is a angle gauge made by HEMPE company its plastic and you can open it up in the corner your trying to measure it will tell you the angle but the angle starts a 0* my chop box starts at 90* so how do I convert the gauges reading into what should be cut on the saw? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say Hey thanks alot for the help everyone Gary
