Can anyone tell me what I need to do if I want to make a splayed box joined by box[finger] joints. If I cut the box sides at [say ten degrees] will I have to turn my miter gauge ten degrees in order for them to match perfectly?

Off the top of my head, just to get you started, you'll need to tip your fence back so the bottom of the kerf lines up; then tilt the blade. I'd like to say just use 10 degrees (your example) for each but this becomes a compound angle and you may have to dust off your powers of trigonometry to calculate the exacts. The next problem is that this may give you all left (or all right) ends and you'll have to reverse something to be able to produce the matching part.
When I started to write this out, I thought I'd give you some help, but now that I've reread it, I hope I haven't muddied up the waters too much. :-) Perhaps someone else can give you more specific info. If nothing else, play with it and see what you can do.
Paul
