Another Router table or a small shaper?
Hi, I just bought the cast iron table and the router lift from bench dog wich are of excellent quallity, and Im thinking in buying a second table to set it up for rail and stile production jobs, but a store in here is offering me a 1hp shaper wich costs almost the same as the bench dog and router set up, so Im having doubts as wich one to buy??
The shaper isnt as nice as the bench dog set up, but it would allow me to use router and shaper cutters.
wich one would you buy?
Thanks in advance!!
Sorry for my english

How much production are you planning to do and what is the brand and model of the shaper?
Hi dgreen, im planning to make runs of 10 to 20 medium size kitchens. The shapers brand is silverline , I havent seen this brand anywere else, I attach a picture of a very similar model , the model the dealer haves in the store haves the power switch different and maybe a couple of other small things, I think it looks better in the picture than in real life. The bench dog materials and fence seems of a lot of more quallity but I dont know what I could be gaining having and using a shaper or if the router is going to be able to keep up with the job.So in fact that would be the question...Does a profesional router table is able to keep up in a production shop?Shaper Specifications
