Antique Bandsaw Information needed

I am looking for information about a Cowan 256 bandsaw. It was made in Galt Ontario and appears to be from the late 1800’s – early 1900’s. Any information you have would be appreciated. [email protected]

Try the Old Woodworking Machines site.
If you go to OWWM.com and enter Cowan in their Manufacturer's Index you will find a short history of the company. With luck they might have some photos of their machines in the photo index.
Thanks John. The bandsaw isn't there but the information for the company was quite interesting. Any other help with information about the 256 would be great.
