Hi there – hope someone can point me in the right direction. My dad gave me his old Porter cable router that he’s had since probably the 50’s, I’d guess. Runs great, but the collet had broken and he couldn’t get a replacement part. I’d like to get it fixed and give it back as a present. The plate on it says “Guild” (as if Guild were the brand name), then in smaller letters says “Porter Cable Manufacturing Company”, and “Model 1100”. I need a source for the screw-in collet (the threaded part, not the nut).
Porter Cable says good luck, and I’m not sure where to go next. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

I have an old, dead Rockwell router that is similar to Porter-Cable. I'm going to look at it tomorrow and maybe I can help.
Phone Dick Journiman at 586.463.5556. He handles the obsolete PC parts. I'm surprised PC didn't send you there, he's listed in there parts catalogs as a source.
His place is a museum of PC, Rockwell and Delta tools.
