I’m a nearly ready to retire letter carrier who’s just getting started in woodworking. I am looking for any carriers/woodworkers, or ANY wood woodworkers who build or have built sorting trays for mark-ups who can offer any tips, ideas, sample photos of any to help me get started.
I have ideas for designs but appreciate the other options.
Thank you

Are you thinking of the cardboard three-quarters tray for sorting mark-up mail?
Congrats on the upcoming retirement!
Can you share more about sorting trays. Maybe us laypeople would have ideas too!
Is it the trays that are sorted, or the things in them? Smartasses want to know.
It's a (usually) wooden box maybe 3" tall, 16" long, 9" wide, open on the top with dividers every 1 1/2" across the short side to separate the mail we have to return to sender. It uses 1/2" wood. I'll add a pic of one I made in about 1 hour to provide a starting point.
Thanks
Techniques for making dividers seems to be something you're interested in doing. Check this video out:
