I have some 5″ maple slabs sitting in a kiln at the moment. Winter project, you know. I’m just thinking, boy, goofing up the leg to top joints . . . I could do that easy!

Planning on it. I will be taking the course with Chris Schwartz at Kelly Mehler's in September where we will build that bench.
Also, Chris' book on the bench is now out. Check the Popular Woodworking site to get it.
