At www.amazon.com I saw this book “Working with the router” by Bill Hylton & Fred Matlack and “Router magic” by the same authors, are they any good ?
What’s your best book on routers ? I’m looking for books on jigs and smart techniques with plans so that I can make my own jigs.

I have Router Magic, and if you're into jigs and fixtures, it's a good book. The chapters are organized to reflect it's purpose: Boring, Carving, Circle Cutting, Custom Baseplates, Dadoing and Groving, Router Tables, Surfacing, etc., etc.
Unlike other router handbooks, it skips all the stuff about the history of routers, types of routers and bits, etc., so you don't end up paying for all that stuff.
I also have Router Jigs and Techniques and The New Router Handbook by Patrick Spielman. They're both good, but spend alot of time on commercially available thiings, in addition to what you can build in your shop.

Woodworking with the router is one of the best books written on the subject
Both of Pat Warner's books are excellent. 'Fast, Easy, & Accurate Router Jigs' may be just what you're looking for. Here's a link:

I have an autographed copy of Router Magic and love the book though I'm not a big router user. I also have Woodworking with the Router. In my opinion you should buy both books and then you'll never need another router book. Together they will cover most anything you need to know about routers.
