Anyone still use Yankee screwdrivers?
Parted with mine some years back and lately have been having pangs of regret. I see Highland Hardware has ’em and some German copies- how good are they?

I still use my old Stanley yankees the first cordless screwdrivers<G>
ToolDoc
I have a really nice pistol grip type but the cordless is easier for us ladies to handle. I really haven't noticed many tradesmen who carry such items either. Any old manual hand drills jc?
I have, and used ,the Stanley Yankee driver for years in my work as a trim carpenter. I also have an origanal Yankee driver from the time before Stanley bought them out. The original drivers are all brass where the "newer" Stanleys are chrome and they say "Yankee" No.131A , North Bros. Mfg. Co. , Phila. Pa. , Pat. 11--23. This is the one that I use in my shop today. I love to drive screws with that old thing.
JC,
I've used the yankee push drills for years but always had a problem with my father's large yankee screw driver....with sloted screws. Now that we use mostly phillips or square heads maybe I should reconsider.
