I saw the new Bosch 1590 jigsaw this weekend and couldn’t resist buying it. I haven’t had a chance to use but wanted to see if anyone else has and your thoughts on it. Thanks!

Have not tried it but it looks like a winner to me and a good example of competition at work. Looks like they copied some features from Milwaukee's (AEG) 6266 jigsaw- in particular the blade change setup and blade support and one upped them with more power. I like my 6266 Milwaukee better than my old Bosch 1587 but if the Milwaukee ever goes kaput it looks the 1590 will be at the top of the list.
Tried the 1590 this weekend. Cut through 3/4" birch ply like butter - straight lines and s-curves no problem. The "precision cut" system lived up to its billing - the cuts looked pretty perfect vertically. Dust blower worked nicely and the shoe is rock solid - the saw just feels good in your hand and exhibited very little vibration when cutting. Highly recommended.
I read your review and just wanted you to check out your Milwaukee jig saw was built by Bosch, according to reviews on Amazon. That is why they are so similar and Bosch went one up on Milwaukee. I own both brands in certain tools and have no trouble with either.
If you do any coping, the Collins Coping Foot WILL NOT fit the new Bosch jigsaw. That's from Collins himself.
Hello,
"I never met a tool I didn't like."
When I finally got the table saw and Beisemeyer fence I wanted, my girlfriend almost called an attorney to file a suit claiming I was a bigamist.
