Anyone used Bioshield hard oil #9 – drying issues!
I had a TV lift cabinet made from veneered and hardwood walnut. The cabinet maker finished it with Bioshield hard oil #9. It was in his shop for 2 weeks drying but made our bedroom reeked from the oils.
He has taken it back to store some more. Anyone if this will every stop smelling? If it does, will it need more applications over time? If so can it be sealed with a lacquer, varnish or something else.
Bioshield’s website lists the ingedients as follows:
Linseed Oil, Tung Oil, Colophonium Resin, Castor Stand Oil, Isoaliphatics, Lead-free dryers (Zircon Octoat, Cobalt Octoat), and Oximes (Antiskinning Agent.) VOC is less than 250 Grams per Liter.
Thanks for any help,
