Anyone using Pat Warner’s Fence?
If you own this fence, please comment on ease of use, practicality, and whether you would make the investment again. I think it is about the same price as the Inca or Jointech fence.

I built Pat's fence, sans plunge micrometer and embedded rule. It works well. It was a bit of a challenge to build, but was worth the effort. The materials cost is low, even for the specialized hardware. I doubt I have $50 in it, even with the aluminum guides. There were plans for this in FWW several years ago.

Alan,
I wanted to see your furniture so I went to your website. When I hit the button for portfoglio, it just waited for a long time. Maybe it is my machine. You might want to ask others if they are having the same problem. Have fun.

Thanks for the heads up. It was slow for me also. I will get hold of my web master (my elder son) to see what is happening. About a year ago I started Philadelphia Furniture Workshop, a school, and it has taken so much time that I don't often go to my furniture website anymore. They are written in different languages, (rails vs. pylons) and so I must use two different web hosts. This stuff is way over my head. I just work wood.Alan Turner

Thanks Alan. Looks a bit complex for my needs but I'll read the article later tonight.Greg
Yes, I built it and the torsion box top he advocates. It is wonderful, works like a charm. It cost about $100 in materials but I did everything Pat recommends.
I've had Pat's fence for some time and like it. I've also been to his home in Escondido, CA and seen his whole operation. Just remember that his fence is for very precise, fine detail cuts-not gross hogging out! I think that you would like it. I can't speak for the other brands mentioned...Jim MacNaughton
