The featured Apothecarys store in the photograph is hanging from the rail and lying flush to the wall. However I cannot see any offset on the plan to allow this to happen. Am I just not reading it clearly?

It looks like the frame-and-panel back is recessed a ways into the carcase, so that the hanging brackets (which are extensions of the stiles) are forward of the back plane of the cabinet by the amount of recess, enough to allow the back edges of the cabinet sides to lie flush against the wall.

Thanks, I did not see that but it was very late when I looked at the plan.
Steve, I have had another look at the plan and just cannot see any reference to the back being inset in that fashion to allow for the rail hanging.
You're right that the plan doesn't show it, but if you look at the photo of the finished cabinet (on the home page) it seems pretty clear that the sides extend past the hanger brackets.

Steve, I do appreciate your replies but what is the point of the plan if it does not reflect the project. Please do not trouble to reply, I just expect proposals and plans to tally and I am sure others are of the same view.
I've just redrawn the cabinet in SketchUp. The back panel does not extend behind the plane of the stiles and rails. I haven't come across any indication of a spacer or anything that would make the cabinet hang vertically but it seems as though it would be a simple matter to add a spacer on the back of the cabinet to make it do so.

You are right of course. I just like true Shaker and seeing a plan of sorts, my first thought was that all those dodahs perched on top would fall off if it did not sit true, and drawers may even fall out. If they are going to do a plan, do it properly.
Mufti,
Take a look at the most recent episode in this series and Chris reveals a small block screwed to the bottom back of the case that keeps it off the wall. The block is the same thickness as the peg board, which makes it hang straight and keeps the top level.
