Hey Y’all. Long time no posts. Been here hidin out. Yesterday a friend gave me an antique upright piano. Circa early1900. It’s solid walnut. No veneer. In great shape but dirty with some water stains. I don’t have a clue to the original finish. It’s not shiny. How do I clean it up and how should I refinish. Thought about a wipe on varnish or danish oil. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Richard

Rick,
Original finish would have almost certainly been french polish.
I'd take it to a professional refinisher.
