Has anyone adhered wood veneer to drywall w/o contact cement? I’d like to iron this on using Titebond II on both surfaces, but I don’t know how it will hold to drywall (DensGlas paperless) in a bathroom over time.

bamboozled.
I have used bamboo veneer in the past ,I would not advise to iron it on with titebond II in a bathroom area do to moisture
I covered some dry wall by gluing the veneer to a piece of 1/4 plywood then gluing it to the wall with construction adhesive.
the bamboo is neat to work with, smells like grass when you cut it .the veneer I used tore easy.
good luck.
