Applying Ceramic auto finish to help Retard peeling of gloss finish on patio furniture. Bad Idea?
I Purchased a Cedar Gazebo, but was unhappy with the choice of finish applied, I stripped and applied a HighQuality “Deck finish” that is fairly glossy. The peeling of a “Spar gloss Finish” from a past project has me worried, I wondered if the UV & Ceramic protection of these latest Generation finishes would be beneficial in buying more time before having to refinish? Any Idea’s ?

My concern would be adhesion of the finish. I don't know if it would work.
Anything you put on wood is going to fail outdoors. If there was a permanent wood coating, I think they'd have found it by now. The best and longest lasting exterior finish, so far, is a high quality primer and house paint.
Thank You John.
Yeah, I know the best avenue is to generate a sample piece to place outdoors & evaluate over an extended period of time. Thank You SanchezS
