I’m building a coffee table. I milled the cherry lumber for the aprons in two stages — to rough dimension and stickered it for a week, and then to final dimension. The long aprons were to be 48″ x 4.5″ x 3/4″, but there was some bowing after rough milling, and my final thickness to get everything flat turned out to be 11/16″. Is this going to be OK, or should I start over with some new stock?
A related question. I’m using loose M&T joinery for the aprons and legs — how wide would you make the tenons for 4.5″ wide aprons? I’m thinking 3 3/4″ ?
Thanks,

You're fine on the thickness. I think you're fine on your tenons too. On an apron that size, I'd clip between 1/2" to 3/4" off each side, which is about where you're at.

Thanks very much!
