Are there (not exensive) Planers with sharpenable blades available?
I’m wanting to acquire a planer that has sharpenable blades. Why? Simply, that if I can still acquire this type of tool, then the Makita 9820-2 (sharpener) makes sense. I dislike constantly buying ‘disposable’ blades. What’s out there? It seems most mfrs are hiding this info — enev when looking into the owners’ manuals! Please assist! I’m looking for the same type of unit that most have — benchtop-scale, 2-3 blades, 13″ width, not frighteningly $$. <$400.
Also: Are new jointers also coming out with disposable blades? Mine still has sharpenable blades.
