I know that this topic has been discussed before both here on Knots and other sites like Lumber jocks and Saw Mill Creek etc.
The information on this site and others is quite old and dated. Is there anyone out there using one of these machines, and if so, would you be willing to give us some fresh and updated perspective on it’s operation, performance, fit and finish and your level of satisfaction? I have been shopping around and have found prices and free shipping form some suppliers; one thing that concerns me about jet products is the apparent lack of a convenient way to get parts. I have a jet air filtration system and when I go to the Jet site and use their Parts Finder and using part numbers form the manual, I always get the same results “Sorry no search results found”. Same when I try searching for an extra set of knives for the JJP-12. Would this sort of thing make you think twice about a major investment in a Jet tool?
I would love to hear from someone using a JJP-12.

I have a friend over at SMC that has one (Kevin Davis). Recently, he had some trouble with it and had to borrow some tools to get it fixed. When he stopped by my shop, he told me that he wished he had spent more and went with one of the nice Euro machines.
I sent him home with my LV 36" SE and my OneWay milti-gauge. Apparently, the tables were not parallel and he had to shim them! Shocking for a new machine.
Anyone?
