I am an artist, and I paint in oils. My preference is to paint on panels, and it was suggested I try the 7-ply maple plywood used for steel die boards and/or skateboards. Does anyone know of a supplier of this type of plywood?
Thanks,
Richard

Try looking in the yellow pages under plywood in a major urban center near you. I'm sure there are other panel options around as well.
Done it. Thanks anyway...
You can also go to woodfinder.com and enter your zipcode, and check the "Hardwood-veneer plywood" box near the bottom, then click the huge, tall SEARCH button. You should find a local supplier that will see you maple ply, no problem.
A quick Google for '7 ply maple plywood' turned up quite a few hits.

There may be some other sheet goods that may work for you. MDO is a fir plywood with an orange paper covering. Often called sign board, good for exterior use and paints nicely. You should be able to find it locally.

Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Thanks for the Emerson link. I've done several googles, but don't remember seeing Emerson. That looks like the right stuff. Thanks!
