I would like to build an “Arts and Crafts” bookcase that will hang on the wall. The ideas I’ve had so far seem to look to bulky. The bookcase needs to hang on the wall because of where the heat register is located and moving it is not an option. I would like it to be 3′ – 4′ long, preferably with the typical slat detail. All suggestions welcome. Thank You.

Ken,
In the book, Making Authentic Craftsman Furniture, edited by Gustav Stickley, there is an example with plans for a hanging book shelf beginning on page 44.
I do not have a scanner or a digital camera or I would send it to you via email. However, should you desire, I would be happy to make you a copy and send it to you via snail mail.
Hope this helps!
RR
Thank You for the input. I will check out that book, there might be some other good ideas in it also. Thanks again
