Can anyone assist me in the board feet is required to build one of the chairs in the current issue. I will be using 4/4 and glueing up to make thickness. I caculate around 22 to 26

Sorry for the LONG delay responding to your question. I talked with Mr. Rodel last night to get an answer to your question. He said it was rather hard to say how much exactly you’ll need. He highly recommended that you do get the 8/4 and 5/4 material instead of the thinner stuff to avoid unsightly seams from glue-up.
But if you’re using the 4/4 stuff, he thought 30 board feet would cover it. It’s better to have too much than to run short. But if you’re making more than one chair, you don’t need to double that 30 board feet amount. If you make more than one chair, you can layout parts together and use the material more efficiently.
