For gentle curves, either a 3/8" or 1/2" blade would work. The 1/2" would be a bit better for cutting dovetails and other straight ripping work; the 3/8" would do tighter curves.
Define "gentle curve." There are charts, easily found, that show how tight a radius you can cut with blades of different widths.
