I know this question may not be applicable for “fine woodworking”, but I tried the ‘breaktime” forum and received little response. I’ll apologize in advance to anyone offended.
I just picked up an “Atro Helen 90 C” Framing nailer. I’ve looked all over the web and can’t find this model referenced anywhere. Has anyone heard of this beast? Where can I find nails for it? The tool has a sticker on it that says it uses Round Head Strip Nails. I think it needs 28 degree nails but I need to confirm that. Does anyone have a manual for it?
Thanks
Les

I know the nailer you speak of. Used to repair them in a former life some 13 years ago. They were awful for parts back then so I wouldn't think it would be easier. Italian guns. I haven't seen a reference to one since then either and your post comes up. I'll do a little looking but I'd say move on to other brands. Old machines are one thing but guns are an entirely different matter to keep going. On old O-rings we wouuld account for wear with dental floss at times but tolerances are so critical at times with these things. They used to come in orange, grey and red. Don't miss working on those. Get a Hitachi or something! Certainly not something typically used to make furniture.
Rick,
Thanks for the feedback. The guy I bought the gun from, realized today that you can't get nails for this gun anymore, so he happily gave me my money back. I'll go back to good old fashion hammer and nails for now.
