   I've run into this problem before and used a fernco flexable coupler. I believe Festool are metric based, the flexable coupler will attach to either. Lowes or HD have them for a couple bucks a piece.

   location

   You should find them in the shop vac section at Lowes, or with the gutters and down-spouts at HD.  ;-)

   Curious how the Fein is working out with the portable bosch?  I'm looking for DC on my bosch as well and wondering if a goo dshop vac (fein or festool) will do the trick or do I have to get a 1.5 DC.  Would love to stick with a good vaccum.
