Had an inspiration while building what we (around here anyway) call birdboxes . (The area of transition from horizontal soffit and facia under the eves to the diagonal area following the slope of the roof. Just in case the term is unfamiliar to anyone) Anyway I used my pockethole jig (Kreg ) to drill the long angle of the 2X6 and glued and screwed it in place. Overkill I know but a really nice way to attach w/out toenails, etc. Fast and efficient. Any other places you may have used your pockethole jigs that you would be willing to share?

hardwood floors that squeek. From the underside, pockethole in the floor joist, screw into the floor to suck it down.
