What is the best way to attach an 11″ x 28″ x 5/8″ thick solid walnut drawer front to a 1/2″ baltic birch plywood drawer box?

Kitchen cabinet manufacturers typically use wafer head screws in enlarged holes. Often, longer bolts are used for installing the pulls. These will keep the front centered. The enlarged holes allow movement.
