My intent is to allow my FWW unlimited subscription to expire. So during the last few months I’ve verified (twice!) that my account status is “NO AUTO-RENEW”.
I was surprised to see today that the auto-renew status has changed to YES.
So I changed it back to NO and pressed the submit button.
One hour later I double checked it and it’s back to YES!
I guess I’ll have to get in line with everyone who’s trying to reach customer service.

There's a workaround to bypass customer service, or the lack thereof. Call your credit card company, tell them your current card is damaged, and you wish a replacement. They'll keep your same number but change the CVV and expiration date. Once your new card arrives and you activate it, your old card is deactivated and the auto-renew won't go through. If you don't have time for the new card to arrive, have them freeze or suspend the current one till the new one arrives.
That hasn't worked for me. If you've given permission to a business for auto renew, the credit card company will allow the charge on the new card. It's happened to me on three occasions, with three different cards.
If it were me, I would make sure to straighten it out with FWW, as painful as that can be.
Good idea Elmaduro. Since I posted this morning, I've tried two more times to turn off auto renew. Both times it reverted back.
I believe you can call the credit card company and tell them not to allow the specific charges from Taunton or FWW.
