Baby crib spring mattress support supplier
Does anyone have a referral to a supplier of a crib spring type mattress support? ProductsAmerica was the only one I dealt with previously and they seem to be out of business. These mattress supports measure about 28 by 52 inches.
I need to build another crib ASAP for new grand baby!
Thanks for any help

When I built a crib for my grand daughter, I was not able to get any advice whatsoever. Everyone warned me not to build it due to liability issues.
I did build it and test it according to industry standards and two kids have used or so far.
As to your original question, I used a spring support from a crib in good shape that I purchased on Craigslist.

IMO, you don't really need a set of springs. When my kids were young, I made beds for them and used a sheet of plywood as a mattress support. It works just fine. Just be sure to put a series of holes in a grid throughout the ply panel to let it "breathe". Otherwise, it may entrap moisture and allow mold growth. My grandson now uses one of those beds.
