Hi All,
A Buddy of Mine is Building a Bar For His Basement, & is Looking to Cover the Front of it with Bamboo. He Asked me if I Could Buy Either Bamboo Tambor, or Stalks that Could be Split, & Glued Onto the Front. I Struck Out With All My Suppliers, so Was Wondering if Anybody Knows a Source For Bamboo Sticks.
Thanks,
Larry

A good source (large variety- #2-#8, reasonable prices) is Gardener's Supply Co. (http://www.gardeners.com).

If you don't think too good, then don't think too much...
I'll tell you where if you invite me over for Mai Tais when the bar is done :-)
I checked out a supplier in FL that ships. I never used them but they have a good selection of bamboo poles and the prices looked pretty decent. I was going to make ballusters with bamboo poles but gave up on the idea because of bamboo's tendency to split.

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with an ax.
I just bought some towel racks off eBay - look for eBay seller "bambooriversedge", they are located in NC. Their auction says they can get any size if you let them know.
Good luck!
