I would like to have a Walker Turner Band saw when I grow up. Where would you look for one of those? I would also like to have a 12″ jointer.

Herbie, my boy, if you are big enough to reach the keys just type in //http://www.owwm.com under google and you will get the site for Old Wood Working Machines. It's like the elephants graveyard-all the old machines go there to die, unless someone like you saves them <g>
Here is a site worth keeping an eye on. http://www.woodweb.com/cgi-bin/exchanges/machinery.cgi
Can't help with the WT bandsaw but regarding the jointer; when you grow up I can set you up with a nice 30" Oliver 166.

30" 166? Damn, thats my dream jointer. One of those would go spectacularly with my 36" Oliver bandsaw. Don't suppose you could post a pinup for us could ya?
Steve
Regularly come up on E-bay, just saw a beautiful 12 inch one sell for around $300. Larger ones are fairly rare.

Would the Walker Turner Band saw be the one to get if money were no object? I guess what I am really asking is if that is the best band saw ever made and if so what makes it so? Just curious, what I know about band saws would fir on the head of a pin with plenty of room left over;)
