I will be resewing hundreds of feet of 6 inch wide white oak using a Delta 18 inch bandsaw with a 2 hp motor. I am using a Laguna Resaw King carbide tipped blade and have two questions.
This saw had two options for blade speed, 2300 and 3250 SFPM. Which would be the better choice?
I plan to use a power feeder. What feed rate would you suggest.
Thanks for your feedback and I appreciate your advise.

Lower speed for metal, higher speed for wood. You will find the right feed rate through a little experimentation. Material varies too much for a raw math answer IMHO.
The key to redrawing is getting the sawdust out of the kerf. The wider the board, the more sawdust has to be cleared.
Faster blade speed means more sawdust can be cleared quicker. Slower feed rate gives more time to clear the kerf.
So, faster blade speed is better. Resawing 2 inch boards can use a faster feed rate than a 10 inch board. Softer woods can use a faster speed rate than harder woods. So, the feed rate will vary.
Ever try to rip 1/2 inch pine on a table saw? Ever try to rip 12/4 hard maple using the same feed rate? Me neither. Once you start resawing, you'll figure out what is too fast.
