All,
I replaced my 1/2″ bandsaw blade yesterday because I thought it needed it. I’m trying a Woodcraft blade this time because it’s cheap and I resaw a lot of donnage. The Timberwolf and the Olsen I’ve used over the past two years appear to be in fine shape…I’m assuming they’re worn out because I had a problem cutting some 4″ poplar in a semi-circle, lots of drift…but the points all feel sharp…how do you determine what worn out is? thanks

The only way I've ever found to determine whether a bandsaw blade is dull is to watch its performance. It will take too much force to feed work into it, or the lead angle will go up, or the like. Even when it is misbehaving like that, it still feels sharp to my thumb, and looks sharp to my eye.
Jamie,
Thanks, sounds like more art than science...oh well..
