I have a new Grizzly G0555 set up with a 1/2″ 3tpi BCSaw blade with the riser attached. As this is the first bandsaw I’ve owned I have no way to compare blade tension.

I have the pink washer set near the 3/8″ mark with a few extra turns as recommended by Grizzly tech support.

The saw appears to be working quite satisfactory. Cuts easily and quickly.

My concern is about untensioning the blade for a few days. The untensioning arm doesn’t seem to release that much tension. Is that enough?
