   The fence designed by Mark Duginsky has always looked like the ticket, to me. (Click here to see)  The only drawback I can think of is that if you wanted to have a larger table with it (as in a shop-built table) it might be difficult to design.

   forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl   ;-)

   As Forest Girl says, Mark Duginsky's design is very nice.  You may want to check out Sandor Nagyszalanczy's design in Tauton's Workshop Jigs and Fixtures  (a nice book for many clever yet easy to make designs.) http://www.taunton.com/store/pages/070202.asp

   As far as models to purchase, the Fast Track is a nice one, with lots of room for adjustments.  Garrett Wade has it on sale. http://www.garrettwade.com/jump.jsp?lGen=detail&itemID=101733&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&iProductID=101733  I think it's a better fence, and a better value, than those available from Delta or Jet, et al.

   Thanks for that link, I've been looking for a decent fence system for a saw i've been refurbing, i went ahead and ordered that one from garret wade.

   Should make a nice addition to the saw.

   Well my fence came in from garret wade and i'm quite impressed with it so far.

   Here's some pics of it installed on my newly refurbished saw
