I have a 14 inch bandsaw that does well cutting curves. I have modified it with a 2 Hp. motor, a carbide re-saw blade and extension blocks to increase the cutting height. I have used it to re-saw boards for veneers and various other dimensions but find I can’t always get consistent results. So now I am on a quest to add a bandsaw dedicated to re-sawing only. There are lots of choices out there and I want to ask you folks about what bandsaw you thinkto be the best choice in the $2000 range.

Take a look at the Laguna 14BX... 2.5HP and resaws to 12".
The Harvey C14 looks like the same exact saw as the no longer available Laguna SUV (I have the SUV) except for the guides (tool-less now!) and paint... 3HP and resaws to 14".
I second , the Laguna clone is the way to go then there is the Hammer N4400.
I have a Laguna and it's fantastic. My old Delta clone was crap at resawing.
I also have the laguna suv 14 and really am happy with it.
Hey, I have a SUV and have a question: how can I get the table to stay in one position, presumably at right angles to the blade? There are two adjusters under the table and both are screwed down as tight as I dare.

Call the manufacturer.
The knobs are small and there are obstructions so it takes all I have also to keep the table square , I would replace them with ratcheting levers like the one that closes the table gap but female instead of male.
I have an old Delta still good for detail work bought a Harvey C14 for resawing several months ago. It’s been great. Paid about $2100 with shipping.
How are the tool-less guides?
Easy beans
I too have the Laguna (replaced my delta). I love it so much, I bought one for my brother.
I have the Harvey C14. They make the Laguna as well as some Rikon and Grizzley bandsaws. They tend to go on and off sale so I'd wait until they do. Right now they are on sale for $1,720 as of 2/8/23. I like my 3hp 240v option. Works great.

Is your saw mobile, and do you move it around? Do you pull by the table when you do?
I bought a Jet 14" steel frame band saw when they first came out. A Laguna was on display right next to it for about the same money. I regret buying the Jet instead of the Laguna. The Jet is not bad for resawing, especially with a Highland Wood Slicer blade, but it's never quite measured up.
That is good to know. I was also looking at the Jet bandsaw and wondering how it matched up. Thanks for the information.
I appreciate all of the responses to my question. Folks seem to be happiest with the Laguna bandsaw.
