Does anyone have any pics/plans of good mobile bases for a laguna 16HD bandsaw? I’d like to get the mobile kit, but it looks too simple to drop $185 after dropping $3g!!
Thanks…

I have a 14" Laguna. Their mobile base consists of a pair of wheels at the rear, blade, end of the saw. They provide a heavy, metal rod with 2 wheels that pivots under the front of the saw and functions as a steerable tow bar. I find it very satisfactory. I suppose that you could make one yourself is you are a welder.

I have a 18" RIKON (Well, I just LOVE it.. I think it works GREAT!)..
I put a heavy duty base on it I got from Woodcraft? About 50 dollars US?. I move it all the time. Moves OK, BUT, with only swivel wheels at one end sort of a PAIN. Maybe someday I put on all swivels.
There are foot levers on the swivel end to drop it on adjustable foot pads just at this end. Never had it move when dropped....
Wheels are small and HARD plastic so you need to be sure the floor in clean of things that will STOP the wheels.
I would be a little cautious if the floor is not level.. Bandsaws.. THEY ARE TOP HEAVY. Don't ask me how I know!
