Hi everybody, <!—-><!—-><!—->
I just purchased an 18″ band saw that I will mainly use to resaw. I’m in the process of setting up a mobile base and platform for it. My question is at what height should the table be at in relation to your body? Most other band saws I have seen setup are typically at the user’s elbow height. <!—-><!—->
Any suggestions are appreciated.<!—-><!—->

For resawing I would set the machine rather low so that you can handle larger stock without straining. I just put a 2 X 10 standing vertically on a 24 inch high sawhorse and it seemed t be, at most, just a little low, so I would think that 26 to 28 inches high would be about right.
Our larger bandsaw has a 36 inch high table and it is definitely too high when resawing wide stock.

Thanks for the suggestion.
