Go to an auto supply store and use the glue to put car door gaskets on with. It works like contact cement.

Both Delta and Jet recommend not gluing on bandsaw tires. If the tire is coming off, it's an indication that it needs to be replaced. New tires are a normal wear item and should be replaced periodically. Old, hard, sawdust encrusted tires can lead to tracking problems.
Howie, as a beginner I tried to recondition a Craftsman 12" bandsaw. After cleaning it all up I glued the loose lower tire on with contact cement. I knew nothing about bandsaws and still can't claim any great knowledge. What I do know is that the saw drifts horribly.
From what I can see, the tire is not on straight and now there is no way to straighten it except by replacing it. Since everything else on the saw seems tight and fairly true, I'm pretty sure that the drift problem is being caused by the tire.
I won't tell you to go buy new tires because that is what I am going to do. However, it is what I am going to do so I'll let you know if my problem goes away. Just maybe you won't have to suffer the same difficulties if you can wait for a few days.
Bernie, I think you meant this for Goeff.
BTW, there is an excellent article in the current Fine Woodworking about setting up and tuning a bandsaw.
Your right. Sorry, I'm kinda new at this.
Yes it looks like new tyres I'd tried glueing with contact cement before and I think the heat softened it. It'll take a little while to get the damn things and it wasn't an urgent little job anyway.
But Delta and Jet (14" any) wheels have rims with raised edges so the band won't slip off. Rims without this type of edge need glue.
