I am wanting to use barrel hinges on a couple of 20 X 20 raised panel doors 1/2 to 5/8 thick. I would use a 10mm hinge, but can find no weight spec on it. It is an SOSS hinge, p/n ss-bh104. Has anyone used these hinges, and did they work out for you?

Barrel Hinges

The barrel hinges are not recommended for vertical or load-bearing applications. OK for horizontal use. I guess they're prone to pull-out and sagging when used under a load.
It sounds like you need 2-3 of their standard hinges (#101) for a 20 x 20 door having a minimum thickness of 1.2". You also need the weight of the door. See the Online Catalog and scroll down to Choosing the Right Hinge for the Job.
BTW, they offer a hinge routing template for each size hinge at $30 each. A good $ spend because the layout has to be exact for the proper fit.
