I am looking for some “barrister bookcase” slides similar to the ones at Rockler. I want something more heavy duty than those flimsy plastic ones they sell. I’ve been searching the internet for days but I come up empty. Can anyone help?

Hi Joey,
Try Hettich, Hafele or Blum. Of the three, I prefer Blum, tend to have the better quality and the minimum number of hassles in use.
Cabinetmaking suppliers/trade suppliers should sell them.
You're looking for Fall flap hinges/stays I believe.
Cheers,
Andrew
Thanks for the reply, I have checked all the "majors" and have found nothing. There is a lot of the flapper style but they are all to elaborate. I am not done looking yet but I just may have to use the one's at Rockler. If the set they sell at Rocklers was metal they would be acceptable.
Hi Joey,
I've got a Hettich catalogue at home, this could be what you're looking for. p3.185 if the supplier asks.
Of course, an off the shelf item in a department/hardware store is probably a lot easier for you - I hear what you're saying and can understand why.
Cheers, eddie
Thanks again eddie, these forums are great info sources. I'm going to the website today.
