Good day,
A friend of mine recently removed their dish washer and would like to have a three drawer system built into the remaining opening. The drawers will be 35″ wide and 28″ deep. The bottom drawer is intended to be used as a pot drawer and will be approx 15″ tall.
My question is what thickness of plywood will be sufficient for the drawer bottoms? Is there a chart or calculator to find out the allowable span for different thicknesses?
Thanks

I did a similar project recently. If you use bottom mounted slides 3/8" ply should work fine. With side slides I used 5/8" baltic birch ply and the drawers showed no flex when loaded heavily. Also I purchased the Kreg drawer slide tool, $25. Absolutely worth the money even for one project. Made accurately installing the slides easy and excelled at installing the drawer side slides on the large heavy drawers.
Thank you very much for the insight. I will certainly look into the Kreg drawer slide tool.
Cheers
