I live in a tri-level & want to build a small sofa to get down in basement. I had a futon down there but gave it up to my stepson when he moved out. Always been partial to Stickley style and/or craftsman because that is what the rest of the house has. Been searching for a plan but am having difficulty finding something that I can get down a flight of stairs or possibly something that I can knock down. Got to get it through 78” tall opening x 30” wide. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

Try bed rail hardware from Rockler... item #s 28589 & 28597
MJ makes a good suggestion. You could build it in sections that can be assembled with those bed rails. As an example, I did a quick revision to a model I made of Kevin Rodel's Prairie Settle. I ddin't add in the bed hardware in the interest of time. Hooks on both the top and bottom rails on the back and on the front rail. Frame drops in to support cushions.
