Good Morning,
I was wondering if anyone had a good design to construct a hand beading tool. Since the blades are fairly easy to make, I am looking for some type of “holder” that would allow me to use the blades in a variety of directions. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

My scratch beader.
salamfam,
very nice job! Any suggestions on the type of wood used, kerf for the slot, etc.?
Thanks,
detailman
I made mine from a small piece of curly maple but any hardwood will do. I rough cut the shape on the band saw, turned the handle between centers on the lathe, and then contoured and sawed kerf on the band saw.
salamfam,
Thanks for the input. I will probably use just hard maple, but it looks like it will do well and give me a lot of latitude in placing different "blades", etc.
Thanks again for your input,
